The Proper Proofing process
After we receive your article for proofreading, we will allocate it to the member of our team who is best suited to proof the subject area.
They will then proofread and edit your Word document, using tracked changes so that you can see everything they’ve done.
There will be suggestions added if we think there is some copy editing to be done.
Comments may be added to the corrections if there are lessons to be drawn from why we’ve changed what we’ve changed (for example, consistent spelling or punctuation errors, idioms that do not translate to English, homophone mistakes, certain ways that Danish grammar and English grammar diverge, etc.) which you can then delete/accept as you go through it on receipt.
The proofed article will be quality checked by a manager at Proper Proofing and so that another pair of eyes has gone over the article.
When we are satisfied with the document, we’ll send it back to you and await your comments.
